Do you feel squeezed?
As Member of Parliament for Vancouver Quadra I want to address barriers to success faced by Vancouver’s young adults. Generation Squeeze Founder Paul Kershaw’s data indicates that today’s young people are working harder to have less, compared with the situation when I was a young adult. Despite our government’s investments in young families, aggregate government spending favours the growing cohort of older Canadians.
Now I’m bringing the conversation to you.
I invite you to join me, Prof. Paul Kershaw, and Point Grey MLA David Eby for a discussion about the challenges and solutions for intergenerational equality.
Professor Kershaw will share his analysis showing the trend comparisonsof government investments in younger and older Canadians, and the impacts of recent budgets; ample time will be provided for questions and audience discussion.
This non-partisan event carries one central message: to build a Canada that works for all generations young people must become involved.
Come join the conversation and start Squeezing Back!
