Each year, fifteen university students from across Canada are selected to participate in the Senate Page Program. These young Canadians must be bilingual and successfully passed a written examination, an interview, as well as reference and security checks.
Canadians in their final year of high school or already enrolled in undergraduate studies at universities are eligible applicants.
While successful candidates must study at one of the four universities of the National Capital Region for the duration of their contract, students from all Canadian universities may apply. In fact, the Program regularly welcomes students studying at universities across Canada, who are willing to do a student exchange for a full school year.
Senate Pages are hired based on comprehensive criteria that embraces the rich diversity of Canadian youth as well as supporting a sustainable model of geographic representation to ensure that over the long term, the Senate Page Program reflects the Canadian youth coming from across Canada.
Interested applicants will be able to apply online until January 8, 2017.
