On Tuesday July 19th, MP Joyce Murray hosted a policy café to give the people of Vancouver Quadra an opportunity to share their ideas on how to address the problem of climate change and stimulate the clean energy economy. The event brought together over 60 participants from the community, green tech companies, advocacy groups, academics, and those devoted to seeing positive action being taken to combat climate change. The room was divided into working groups presented with three questions. The groups were then tasked with discussing possible solutions, outcomes, and implications of their various proposals. Following the group work, the room addressed Joyce with various solutions and issues currently impacting Canada. The consensus was clear that the solutions exist – we just need to start acting.
